Synopsis

It is less a question here of the portrait of a man than that of his cinema: in the case of Maurice Pialat, it is obvious that the one and the other are intertwined in such a way that his work was built like a lasting, deep echo of its existence.It is as much by editing extracts from films, interviews with Pialat as by meeting today's “documentary heroes” that this “double portrait” has been developed.
